My son, James, was a participant in one of Camp Copneconic’s resident camps this summer, and I’m offering a belated by very enthusiastic thank you note to your staff – in particular to Matt and Nick of Boone Cabin – who were instrumental in assuring that James had a positive experience.
My experiences at Camp Copneconic have always been absolutely amazing! This upcoming summer will be my 10th with the camp and it’s what keeps me going throughout the school year. Camp has taught me so much. They have taught me how to step outside my comfort zone, but how to do it in a way that I will love. The counselors remember who you are, they are nice and understanding when there’s something you need to talk about, and will help with whatever you need.
It has been a privilege for my family and I to be associated with the Camp since 2006. My son started attending as a Day Camper at age 7, that winter he attended the Summer Reunion during winter break. That was his first experience at "overnight" camp, it was just one night, but he came home saying "This year I am going to Resident Camp!" I love the fact that after just one night, he was comfortable enough to want to stay for a week. He has been a Resident Camper since.
