Meet The Staff
Our staff come from a wide variety of backgrounds; from local people with a passion for working with children, to college graduates with degrees in recreation and education. They come from near and far, but they all have one thing in common - they're great with children.
Brandon Dreffs - Day Camp/Youth Retreats Director
Brandon is a graduate of Central Michigan University with a B.A.A. in Graphic Design. For the past seven years, through outstanding customer service Brandon has moved up the ranks at Copneconic, currently serving as the director of summer day camp and group retreat programs. With his graphic design background, he also plays a key role in marketing Copneconic programs. An avid sportsman, Brandon has a genuine love for the out-of-doors and an interest in sharing this passion with youth and families.
Kim Hagler - Group Retreat Program Coordinator
Kim grew up at YMCA Camp Copneconic and continues to thrive in an environment she loves. She is currently attending the University of Michigan - Flint, in pursuit of her marketing degree. Kim did a fantastic job as our Day Camp Program Coordinator this past summer and was recently promoted to Group Retreat Program Coordinator. Kim's professional attitude and love for camp make her a great fit with our Group Retreats Program.
Program Instructors
Copneconic’s Program Instructors make your camp experience a great one. They are kid oriented staff who love to work in the out of doors. They will go out of their way to make sure that kids and adults alike are comfortable during their camp stay.
The current group of Group Retreat Instructors is comprised of Linda Zeeb, Shelly McArthur, Katie O'Toole, Brian Frawley, Colin Slaven, Crystal Henson, Elizabeth Hudson, Eric Willett, Jess Fodera, Keri Arnold, April Aretz and Jim Gillespie. Numerous staff from our summer programs return to Copneconic to work on the weekends - assisting the main group.
