Circle C Ranch

Entering Grades 4th – 10th

Circle C Ranch Camp is designed for riders of all levels who want to advance their equestrian skills.  Campers strengthen friendships in their skill groups while bonding with their horse.  Lessons focus on skills ranging from adventurous Western trail riding to show ring etiquette.  From barrels to jumping, your camper will build confidence as an equestrian.

HORSEMASTERS

Entering Grades 5th – 11th

Horsemasters is a great opportunity for riders with previous experience who want to fully immerse themselves in advancing their horse knowledge.  A full day of horse time and special activities offered only during Horsemasters provide for an enriching equestrian experience.  Special guests may include visits from our farrier, veterinarian, and other experts.

CRAZY ABOUT COPNECONIC TWO WEEK CAMP

Entering Grades 6th – 11th

Two action-packed weeks of overnight camp is sure to build confidence and independence!  Our two week campers will experience age appropriate activities with favorites like the Creek Freak zip line, kayaking, swimming and the double decker high ropes course.  A special weekend stay is a highlight as our two-weekers enjoy all of Camp Copneconic to themselves!

Entering Grades 6th – 8th

Variety seekers experience a full spectrum of camper’s choice activities.  Campers customize their camp experience and are given a medley of program choices on a daily basis including watersports, high adventure, extreme games, arts and crafts, target sports, fishing and much more.

CIT – COUNSELORS IN TRAINING

Entering 12th grade

The CIT program provides a unique learning opportunity for campers who are aspiring to become camp counselors or future leaders.  The CIT program is a two-week program that kicks off with a two-day camping trip focused on establishing expectations, teambuilding and leadership.  CITs then return to camp for interactive workshops on camper management, communication skills and leading activities. Week two, CITs put their training into action as they shadow and assist counselors with an assigned cabin group.

CAMP MOVE IT

Entering 3rd – 6th Grades

Outdoor adventure and healthy living go hand-in-hand at camp.  The Y and Hurley Wellness Services are teaming to provide an experience that is not only jam-packed with FUN, but active lifestyle choices. Campers learn valuable habits such as nutritious eating and cooking, as well as physical fitness, while enjoying an authentic camp experience. Campers leave with the skills needed to maintain a healthy weight and a ‘Move It’ lifestyle.

Travel Trip Adventure Series

YMCA Camp Copneconic offers trips for teen summer campers looking for a fun and challenging experience. Each trip offers its own array of activities and adventures.

SOUTH MANITOU TRIP – GIRLS

Entering Grades 8th – 11th

This all-girl backpacking trip explores all that Northern Michigan’s South Manitou island has to offer.  The trip begins with a night in Glen Arbor before the ferry departs for the island the next morning.  Campers will learn outdoor and teambuilding skills as they shape their own experience, choosing together what hikes to venture on each day.  Girls will discover their inner potential, be empowered and develop a newfound appreciation for nature.

NORTH MANITOU TRIP – BOYS

Entering Grades 8th – 11th

This all-boys backpacking trip explores all that Northern Michigan’s North Manitou island has to offer.  Rugged and free, campers will tap into their inner outdoorsman as they work together to read a map, cook their own meals and set up tents under the stars.  Activities like hiking to Manitou Lake and swimming in Lake Michigan are sure to create memories to last a lifetime!

MICHIGAN MOSAIC TRIP – CO-ED

Entering Grades 8th – 11th

This co-ed trip gives campers an all-around travel trip experience!  From sailing on Traverse Bay and tubing down the Platte River to kayaking and sand dune exploring along beautiful Lake Michigan, this week has it all.  The trip culminates with an excursion to Michigan’s Adventure to top off an already adventure-packed week of fun!
