Fun: Fun is the cornerstone for each camper’s experience. Whether it’s exploring Lake Copneconic by canoe or discovering the fascinating natural world around us, campers have plenty of opportunities to create their own experiences in Camper’s Choice and Theme Events!
Skills: Camp provides numerous opportunities to learn new activity skills like archery, disc golf, rock climbing, and more! Most importantly, we offer kids the chance to build life skills including strong character development, friendships, teamwork, independence, and self reliance.
Friendships: Campers are able to make friends and new connections through their experience at camp. The magic of Camp Copneconic comes through meeting new people from diverse backgrounds and joining each other in an amazing shared experience.
Imagination: From building a battering ram to storm the evil king’s castle, to destroying the evil scientist’s Joy-Stealing-Device by water balloon, camper’s use their imagination to explore, create, invent and discover new experiences. Our weekly themes are a chance for campers to immerse themselves in an imaginative experience, no matter what age!
Environment: Surrounded by natural beauty, campers fully experience the environment around them, and learn to respect, nurture, and enjoy the outside world.
Experiences: Campers are able to build part of their own camp experience. At Holiday Hills Day Camp, campers choose from various activities during Camper’s Choice. At Resident Camp, campers enjoy Camper’s Choice and Discovery Treks. The Trek program is Copneconic’s skill progressive program, where campers are able to build upon their skills from year to year in wide range of activities.
Future: The mission and purpose of camp is not only to provide a safe and fun experience but to instill the values and skills that help campers succeed later in life. It is our goal for campers to leave camp with better understanding of what it means to be caring, respectful, responsible, and honest.
Health: Through an active and healthy daily lifestyle, campers spend time off the couch and in a pristine outdoor setting. Sports, fishing, swimming, games and regular physical activity are a huge part of the Copneconic experience.
Knowledge: Expanding on pre-existing skills as well as learning completely new activities, camp becomes a place to gain not only knowledge, but wisdom, for all our campers.
Dreams: Whether it be conquering heights, learning an outdoor skill, or simply meeting someone from a different walk of life, campers take the time to determine what their dreams are, and learn how they may accomplish them, at camp as well at home.
Character: Spending part of each day learning values important to their own camp family, campers showcase caring, honesty, and respect for each other each and every day, no matter what challenges are presented to them.
Courage: With the opportunity to engage in new challenges each and every day, campers step outside their comfort zones and grow in their friendships, skills, and experiences.
